In Museveni’s win Uganda has lost

Yoweri Museveni has won a seventh term in office. What he has become during his 40-year reign is worlds apart from what he once represented.

He took power in 1986 after a series of corrupt military and civilian dictatorships. First, there was Milton Obote, who took power in 1962 after end of British rule.
