I was raised on the tales and propaganda of independence heroes of Africa, so I am an ageist. Before, it was easy enough to blame it on my own youth and claim to be promoting the advancement of my peer group.
The truth is less benign: I think most of us have a brief shelf life when it comes to creative thinking, adaptability to technology, willingness to change the status quo and other qualities that are key for any society with ambitions to progress.
