Speaking of Utu: what happened to Boniface Mwangi and Agather Atuhaire when they visited Tanzania in solidarity with Chadema leader Tundu Lissu is an indefensible violation. I waited for the strong condemnation to come from up top, a signal to Tanzanians and to our neighbours but especially to Tanzanians that this was unacceptable. Instead, what there was some vague messaging about “sovereignty.”
