US pushes for peace in Sudan amid reports of mass killings in al-Fashir
Injured Sudanese displaced from al-Fashir receive treatment at an MSF clinic amid ongoing RSF–army clashes in Tawila, North Darfur, on November 3, 2025.
The US is working with other nations to end the conflict in Sudan, the White House said on Tuesday, after reports of mass killings during the fall of a city to paramilitary forces last week.
The Rapid Support Forces' (RSF) capture of al-Fashir, the Sudanese army's last holdout in Darfur, marked a milestone in the African country's civil war, giving the paramilitary group de facto control of more than a quarter of the territory.
