Japan has pledged financing for the reconstruction of the $150 million strategic Karuma Bridge in northern Uganda with a $33 million grant from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Kampala signed the construction contract with Japanese firm Zenitaka Corporation in July.
