The visit by Rwanda’s Foreign Affairs minister Olivier Nduhungirehe to South Africa this week has renewed hope that the two nations are nearing the resumption of diplomatic relations, which have been strained for more than a decade now.
Mr Nduhungirehe said that the visit was aimed at normalising Kigali-Pretoria ties and exchanging views on the security situation on the continent and he hopes that travel between the two nations will resume soon.
