Mtwapa, on Kenya’s Coast, is a unique small town; it is multi-ethnic and multinational. Kenyans from all parts of the country, Africans from all over the continent, Europeans and Asians, live together in an eclectic, though somewhat nebulous urbanity.
The town has grown largely from foreign and local tourism, which has been one of the main reasons that it has developed into a 24-hour economy.
