The United States has sanctioned Burundi’s former prime minister Alain Guillaume Bunyoni for allegedly committing human rights violations in his country.
“Pursuant to Section 7031(c), the Department of State is designating Bunyoni for his involvement in a gross violation of human rights,” a statement from the US Department of State reads.
