President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Karuna Kyeyune Kasolo as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, as uncertainty continues to surround two senior Cabinet nominees whose appointments have been thrown into doubt by questions over dual citizenship.
In an instrument dated June 22, 2026, Museveni said he was acting under powers granted to him by Article 99(1) of the Constitution.
