The launch of Somalia’s newest party, Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) on Tuesday night in a ceremony attended by 2,700 delegates has drawn mixed reactions in the country, with many praising it and just as many castigating President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for pushing a divisive agenda.
The President was unanimously elected JSP chairman and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre first deputy chair.
