Kenya’s Health ministry has rolled out home care guidelines for Covid-19 patients.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman said Wednesday that it is becoming untenable to isolate all Covid-19 cases in hospitals.
Dr Aman said 78 percent of positive cases in Kenya are asymptomatic and some can be managed at home.Â
In his daily coronavirus briefing, Dr Aman announced that 105 more people tested positive for the disease after 2,273 samples were tested in last 24 hours.
Kenya has now recorded 3,094 Covid-19 cases since the disease was first reported in the country on March 13.Â
The new cases are 77 males and 28 females.
The Health ministry announced Tuesday that 781 Covid-19 patients are currently admitted to public hospitals across the county and that seven are in critical condition.Â
