When Marek Fuchs first arrived in Kenya in 2008, it was ostensibly to visit his mother, who was then the Czech ambassador to Kenya.
Somewhere between 2011 and 2012, Fuchs paths crossed with those of four young musicians — Bien-Aimé Baraza, Polycarp Otieno, Savara Mudigi and Willis Chimano — who would later grow into Sauti Sol.
