US senators query Ruto’s loyalty after China visit

US senators have questioned Kenya’s loyalty as a designated non-Nato ally following President William Ruto’s recent declaration, while on a state visit to China, that Nairobi and Beijing are “co-architects of a new world order.”
US Senator Jim Risch warned that Nairobi's new foreign policy direction could have serious diplomatic consequences.
