Tanzanian ICT Minister Jerry Silaa has confirmed that the government has blocked access to the X social media platform (formerly Twitter), saying it is hosting pornographic content, which contravenes the law.
In a televised interview with a local broadcaster, Mr Silaa stated that the restriction was a deliberate government measure aimed at enforcing national regulations.
