A welfare organisation representing road transporters says it is suspending trips into the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following the killing of a Kenyan truck driver and a string of attacks on key cargo routes.

In a security alert issued on October 15, the Long-Distance Drivers and Conductors Association of Kenya (LoDCA) warned operators to suspend non-essential journeys along a key cargo corridor.
