Morocco says that Kenya has backed its autonomy plan for Western Sahara, following direct lobbying by Rabat to put to end the independence quest by the region that is also a member of the African Union.

These revelations emerged on Monday after Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, met with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita in Rabat.
