Jitters as Kiir ally implies Nairobi talks ‘failed’

The Nairobi talks on South Sudan’s peace process are presumed to have failed, putting President Salva Kiir’s administration under pressure over its alleged unwillingness to “save the country”.
If the Tumaini Initiative has indeed collapsed, it adds to the pile of failed peace processes initiated by his government or regional bodies such as the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (Igad), which have been blamed on Juba's belligerence.
