A week ago, President Yoweri Museveni, who is the National Chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), asked party members to get involved in the grassroots party elections.
To enhance their involvement, he called off a planned Cabinet meeting and asked the Speaker of Parliament to postpone Tuesday’s sitting to enable Members of Parliament to participate in the exercise.
