Congolese Justice minister Constant Mutamba, famed for vowing to slay the corruption dragon in the country, resigned on Wednesday, over a corruption scandal involving the construction of a prison in the northeastern city of Kisangani.
In his hey day, the youthful minister promised to arrest Rwandan officials he said had contributed to conflict in eastern Congo and now he blames Kigali for cooking up the scandal that is threatening his career and life.
