When Tracy Mulongo stepped on to the international stage in Bangkok, the lights were so bright that she almost forgot to breathe. The hall was filled with voices from countries she had only seen on maps. The air was heavy with perfume and camera flashes. Beautiful women from around the world walked with confidence across the polished floor.
It was the night of Miss Heritage International 2025, and Tracy was there not only as a contestant, but also as the face of her country Kenya. She was the only African in her category and she stood alone as the Kenyan flag rose behind her image on the giant screen.
