Kenya’s Co-operative Bank increased its investment in its subsidiary in South Sudan by Ksh25.9 million ($200,775) in the year ended December 31, 2025, even after years of losses linked to hyperinflationary accounting adjustments.

The lender says in its annual report (2025) the move pushed its total investment in South Sudan to Ksh2,670,825,000 ($20.7 million) from Ksh2,644,925,000 ($20.5 million) in 2024.
