Tanzania’s Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) has raised the price cap for petrol for October to $1.54 per litre, blaming the renewed tensions in the Middle East that have affected global oil production, supply and transportation.

The regulator said the war had contributed to a significant increase in international prices of refined petroleum products in September.
