Uganda's Museveni set to extend 30-year rule, opposition cries foul

With about half of all votes counted, Museveni had 60 per cent of the vote ahead of his nearest challenger, Kizza Besigye, who had secured 35 per cent. Besigye was briefly arrested on Friday as he tried to dispute the results.
