South Sudan army chief defies UN travel ban with visit to China

South Sudanese blacklisted military chief General Jok Riak travelled to China in violation of sanctions imposed on him by the United Nations.

Gen Riak was in Beijing for the inaugural China-Africa Defence and Security Forum held last month.
