Increased exports saw Rwanda’s trade deficit drop in the first half of this year compared with last year, the central bank has reported.
Total exports from January to May this year grew by 26 per cent to 128.07 tonnes from 101.54 tonnes in same period last year. This also led to an increased value of import receipts to $881 million in the first half of this year up from $863 million.
