Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has controversially ended the period of national mourning for late leader Edgar Lungu after his family prevented the repatriation of his body from South Africa, accusing the government of breaching an agreement over his funeral.

The government and Lungu’s family have been haggling over his burial arrangements since his death in South Africa on June 5.
