Sudan rejects ‘biased’ EU sanctions as war death toll mounts

Sudan’s military government has condemned the new European Union (EU) sanctions targeting entities affiliated with the junta, describing the measures as legally unfounded and politically imbalanced.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khartoum accused the EU of equating the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) with “unlawful rebel militias” that have perpetrated grave human rights abuses.
