The battle for political influence ahead of the 2027 General Election intensifies this weekend as President William Ruto heads to Nyanza while opposition formations fan out to Nairobi and Northern Kenya in an increasingly competitive effort to shore up their support.
President Ruto is scheduled to begin a five-day tour of Nyanza on Sunday, starting with a church service before meeting about 10,000 leaders and stakeholders drawn from Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay and Migori counties.
