Uganda’s electoral map: Regions that will decide the presidency

Uganda's electoral outcomes are heavily shaped by regional dynamics, particularly voter turnout, population size and political leanings.

Uganda holds its general election to decide which of eight presidential candidates will lead the country after May 12, 2026.

Although voting takes place in January, the inauguration and formation of a new government occur in May, allowing a four-month transition period.
