Chairperson of the African Union Commission Mahmoud Ali Youssouf on Wednesday appointed former Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete as the AU High Representative for the Horn of Africa and Red Sea.
The appointment part of the decisions of the AU in the February summit where the continental body moved to consolidate the peace efforts under the leadership of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, chair of the AU High-Level Ad Hoc Committee for South Sudan (C5).
