The United Nations will use the relocation of some of its agencies and programmes to Nairobi to learn on the future ways of cutting costs while staying relevant.

The thinking is that the decision to move some key offices of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), UN Women and UN Children’s Fund (Unicef) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (Unops) could save the global body millions of dollars on operations at a time donor funding has drastically declined.
