Tanzania, DR Congo strengthen ties on trade

The Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania have moved to deepen ties after President Félix Tshisekedi’s working visit to Dar es Salaam, with both sides pledging closer co-operation in infrastructure, trade, mining, energy and security.

President Tshisekedi was received on Tuesday by his Tanzanian counterpart, Samia Suluhu Hassan, at State House in Zanzibar. The two leaders discussed the main issues shaping relations between Kinshasa and Dodoma, with particular emphasis on improving connectivity between the two countries to facilitate trade.
