Somalia announces fresh timeline for revival of national airline

The country's Civil Aviation Authority says preparations for the revival of the Somali Airline have been completed.

Somalia has set September as the new target for relaunching its national carrier, Somali Airlines, a year after officials first said the airline would resume operations.

Ahmed Moalin Hassan, director of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), said preparations for the revival of the airline had been completed and that the first flights were expected to begin next month, although he did not provide specific routes or launch dates.
