Somalia Prime Minister Hussein Roble arrived in Kenya's coastal city Mombasa on Tuesday.

PM Roble later held talks with Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House in Mombasa.

The prime minister's trip came just days after Kenya's Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo visited Mogadishu. She arrived in Somalia on Sunday and met with her Somali counterpart Mohamed Abdirizak. She later met with PM Roble.

On Saturday, President Mohamed Farmaajo issued a decree banning Somali government institutions from entering into agreements with foreign countries of entities during the election season, just a day before CS Omamo's visit.

Contrary to the president’s decree, PM Roble instructed all institutions to continue serving the nation as per the provisional constitution and the laws of the state.
