Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the candidate for the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has maintained a commanding lead over his closest rival, the National Unity Platform flagbearer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, aka Bobi Wine, who is still betting on a block youth and Buganda vote to bridge the gap.
According to the latest brief from the National Tally Centre in Lweza, 9km outside Kampala, the incumbent's lead was at 75.38 percent by Friday afternoon.
