A group of traditional elders and business leaders in Mogadishu have intervened to ease rising tensions over alleged land grabbing in the city, amid clashes between government forces and opposition leaders.
The intervention began Friday night, when elders and activists persuaded members of the National Salvation Forum to suspend planned protests for nine days.
