Senior Counsel Martha Karua returned to Kenya on Monday after Ugandan authorities denied her entry and declared her persona non grata, escalating tensions around one of the region’s most politically sensitive court cases.
Speaking on arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Ms Karua said she had been held incommunicado at Entebbe International Airport shortly after landing in Kampala.
