The Kenyan government remained mum as the Open Society Foundations (OSF)–Africa condemned the arbitrary detention and denial of entry of its senior official, Brian Kagoro, by authorities in Nairobi, on Sunday.
Mr Kagoro, Managing Director of Programmes for OSF–Africa, was stopped by immigration officers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday evening, declared persona non grata, and put on a return flight to South Africa.
