Chinese fishing vessel Liao Dong Yu 578, seized off Bandarbeyla in Puntland earlier this year, has been released. All 18 crew members are safe.
In a statement, the Chinese Embassy said its fishing vessels operate in Somali waters with official permission and in full compliance with local laws.
