Tanzanian opposition party Chadema this week officially launched its “No Reforms, No Election” campaign in the northern regions, reiterating its position that it will not participate in any elections without comprehensive reforms to the country’s electoral laws and systems.

The launch on May 28, at Soko Kuu’ grounds in Arusha, marked the beginning of a series of public rallies led by deputy chairperson, Mainland, John Heche, secretary-general John Mnyika, Central Committee member Godbless Lema and veteran opposition figure Dr Wilbrod Slaa.
