The African Union is fighting the implosion of a potentially damaging photo published by a senior official at the African Union Commission (AUC) on the same day gory pictures emerged from Sudan’s war.
On Tuesday, Nuur Mohamud Sheekh, the spokesperson for the AUC chairperson, posted a picture of himself reading a magazine on a private jet. The photo was captioned, “Au revoir beautiful Luanda. #Angola.”
