Burundian troops in Somalia, who were to depart from the African Union mission by end of June, will now stay longer to help plug personnel holes in combating extremists.

The decision was reached on Thursday by a group of line ministers of current members of the African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC), the organ that routinely decides on continental security issues.
