Conflict watchlist: Africans could face more pain in 2026 as strife persists

This year has left Africa scarred by unprecedented levels of violence, with millions displaced and Sudan emerging as one of the world’s deadliest conflict zones.

As 2026 approaches, analysts warn that without decisive intervention, next year could usher in even greater instability across the continent.
