DR SUSAN MBOYA (KENYA) ‘In the footsteps of my father’ might be the inspirational words that make Dr Susan Mboya a ray of hope for underprivileged girls across the continent.
The founder and president of the Zawadi Africa Education Fund for girls’ education is continuing a family tradition begun by her late father, Tom Mboya, who initiated the famous Airlift America programme that helped sponsor the education of some of Kenya’s most promising young minds, between 1953 and 1963, at universities across the US.
