I have spent most of my life as a refugee. The first time I fled Burundi was in 1996. I was just a child then, and eventually settled in Muyogozi, Kasulu, Tanzania.

Later, we moved to Mutabila Camp, where we stayed until 2012, when refugees were returned to Burundi. We thought the nightmare was over.
