Mary Muthoni, 33, had worked as an HIV testing counsellor at a health centre in Nairobi, Kenya, for five years when she heard the news. Last year, she was among more than twenty of her colleagues who were made redundant in a single week. She received no letter, no timeline and no answer to the question on everyone's lips: what happens next?
