Manufacturers of building materials in Rwanda are yet to benefit from the construction boom as they are unable to meet the demands of developers, leaving projects including the multimillion Kigali Convention Centre with no choice but to import.
“Everything from steel products, doors, windows, ceramics is imported,” said Charles Haba, the director of Century Real Estate Ltd.
