Like in most countries of the world, more than half Uganda’s population are female. And for the past 40 years, affirmative action has favoured girls in enrolment to institutions of higher learning by awarding them free scores ahead of boys.
Also, for 29 years the country has had free universal primary education while for 20 years now, Uganda has had free universal secondary education.
