Mozambique has only 44 percent of the funds needed to conduct the October general election, the country’s electoral commission said Thursday.

Of the $34 million needed for the polls, the National Electoral Commission (CNE) has only $15 million, the chairman Mr Abdul Carimo was quoted as saying by the O Pais newspaper.
