China's new top diplomat Qin Gang embarks on five-nation African tour

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang began his inaugural weeklong tour of five African countries in Ethiopia on Tuesday as the Asian nation seeks to deepen China-Africa ties.
The trip has been a tradition by Beijing’s top diplomats to the continent at the start of each year for the last 31 years.
